Ur: Game of Kings is a single-device board game. It has no accounts, no login, and no server of its own. Nothing you do in the game is sent to the developer.
This policy explains the little data that does leave your device – all of it handled by third parties whose services the game uses – and what control you have over it.
In short
– The developer collects nothing about you. There is no analytics SDK and no first-party server.
– Your settings, statistics, saved game, and player names never leave your device.
– The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which collects device identifiers and ad interaction data.
– Crash reports go to Sentry so bugs can be fixed. They contain no personal information.
– Buying “Remove Ads” stops the advertising entirely.
What the developer collects
Nothing.
The following is stored only in the app’s own storage on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and is deleted when you uninstall the game:
– your sound, language, and animation speed settings;
– your game statistics – games played, wins, losses, streaks, captures;
– an in-progress game, so you can resume it;
– the names you type for hot-seat players;
– whether you own the “Remove Ads” purchase.
The game also reads your device’s accelerometer to tilt the board slightly as you move the phone. That reading is used for the visual effect only, in the moment, and is never recorded or transmitted.
Advertising
The free version shows a full-screen ad between games, served by Google AdMob.
To do this, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
– device identifiers, including the advertising identifier;
– ad interaction data — which ads were requested, shown, viewed, or tapped;
– approximate location derived from your IP address;
– general device information, such as model and operating system version.
Google acts as an independent controller of that data. Its privacy practices are described at https://business.safety.google/privacy and the data collected through the Mobile Ads SDK is listed at https://support.google.com/admob/answer/10787341
In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, the game shows a Google-certified consent form before requesting any ad. If you decline, no ad is requested at all. Your answer is stored on your device by the Google SDK; reinstalling the game clears it and the form appears again.
On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt controls whether ads may be personalized. Declining leaves the ads non-personalized rather than removing them, and you can change the answer later in iOS Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
Buying “Remove Ads” ends this completely. Once the purchase is recorded, the ads SDK is never initialized and no ad request is ever made.
Purchases
“Remove Ads” is a one-time, non-consumable purchase handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. The store processes the payment and reports back only whether the purchase is owned. The developer never receives your payment details, card number, or billing address.
Restoring purchases on a new device asks the store the same single question.
Crash reports
When the game hits an unexpected error, a report is sent to Sentry
(https://sentry.io) so the bug can be found and fixed. A report contains:
– the error and its stack trace;
– the app version and build;
– basic device information – model, operating system version, available memory.
It does not contain your name, email address, player names, game history, or any identifier that points back to you. Reports are kept only as long as Sentry’s retention period for this project allows, and are then deleted automatically.
Children
The game contains no user-generated content, no chat, and no social features.
It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from them. No age or date of birth is requested. Ads are supplied by Google and are subject to Google’s own advertising policies and to the content rating declared on each store listing.
Where data goes
Google and Sentry may process the data described above on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Both operate under standard contractual clauses and their own published transfer safeguards. The developer holds no copy of that data and cannot transfer it anywhere.
Your rights
Because the developer holds no personal data about you, there is nothing on the developer’s side to access, correct, export, or erase. Requests of that kind must go to the company that actually holds the data:
– Google (advertising): https://myadcenter.google.com and
https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy
– Sentry (crash reports): https://sentry.io/privacy/
– Apple or Google (purchases): through your store account settings.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. If you are in California, the game does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and it does not offer financial incentives for data.
Your choices
– Erase your local record: game settings, then Reset Statistics.
– Decline ad consent when the form appears (EEA, UK, Switzerland). Reinstalling the game clears your stored answer and brings the form back.
– Change tracking permission on iOS in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.
– Reset your advertising identifier in your device’s privacy settings.
– Remove ads permanently with the one-time purchase.
– Delete everything stored locally by uninstalling the game.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated text ships inside the app and is posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the store release notes. The date at the top always reflects the version you are reading.
